January 6, 2011 - Around 8:30 this morning on east bound State Route 410 just east of Greenwater a 38 year old Renton man died when his vehicle struck a tree. A witness stated the Ford Explorer appeared to be attempting to pass another car when it suddenly drove off the roadway and struck a tree head-on. The driver, and only occupant of the vehicle, died at the scene.

Pierce County - On January 1, 2011 at 05:37 a.m., 36 year-old Benjamin Cabral was driving the wrong way on State Route 512 and struck another Motorist head-on near Portland Ave. Cabral was first reported driving the wrong way near Steele St. and continued east bound for over 3 miles before a collision occurred. Cabral was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Pick-up.
